Fungicide/Insecticide on Soybeans
As the soybeans start putting on pods most of the way up the plant, now is the best time to apply a fungicide and insectide mixture.  Help your crop fight off the diseases and prevent insect damage that can limit your yield potential and also help your crop get through periods of heat and drought stress.  Contact your NCCA location or local Agronomist today to get your acres lined up.

Lime- Summer Delivery
Now is the time to start getting your lime hauled for your needs this fall. Most quaries now have a decent supply but as we come into fall those supplies are usually gone, making us truck more miles to a different quary. Also if you have wheat stubble, this is a perfect time to get some lime on.

Gypsoil is offering early prepay and early delivery incentives until the end of August.  The sooner you prepay the better the deal.  Come in today to see how you can save up to $4/ton and to learn about the benefits of Gypsoil brand gypsum.

Grain Comments

The markets are starting the week off with a bit of a rally.  Currently corn is up 3 while beans are the leader up 15.  It has been dry the past couple of weeks in a large portion of the northern and western corn belt and forecasts aren’t calling for much moisture in the days to come.  Recent exports are also helping support the markets this morning.  Wheat is struggling to get back to unchanged, currently down 2 cents.  A private analyst recently increased Russia’s wheat production again to a record 57.5 million metric tons.  Short term support for December corn is at 3.65 then 3.50.  For November soybeans support is at 10.83 then 10.55.

Farm Stored Corn
In order to accommodate the large 2014 harvest we'll need open space in the elevators. To accomplish this the 2013 Farm stored bushels coming to town over the next 2 months you don't plan to sell may be placed on a Deferred Pricing contract. This will allow you to price the grain later but also transfers the corn ownership to the co-op allowing us to move the corn into market channels and open up space for your 2014 crop. If you have any questions please call the Seneca office at 785-336-6153.

Price Later Opportunity on Soybeans at AGP
If you have farm stored soybeans consider delivering them to AGP in St. Joseph MO and placing them on a Deferred Pricing Contract. There's no storage charges or services fees to apply but the final pricing date will be October 15th 2014. Due to the dramatic price drop between old and new crop values we strongly recommend selling long before the Oct 15th final pricing date.  Contact us for details at 785-336-6153, Charles Trevor or Phylicia.
